Iguasu Falls ( spelled Iguacu with a squiggle under the c in Brazil)

Our first view of the falls
A close up view of that last picture... this shows the lower level of the water from just two weeks ago.  The water line was up to the green tree line.. Just above the little water fall...  Before the flooding hat low outreach area was covered with trees.

As we walked we could see more and more falls.

I wish pictures could capture how very big and breathtaking this was!!!!!

We walked out on that walk way and the wind from the falling water was fierce.... Water splashed everywhere.  But it was really exciting and just awesome!!

The normal blue-green water was brown  But we loved the beauty anyway!

Our Hotel in Cuidad del Este

Our Hotel...  so glad to arrive after the long bus ride.

There is the bridge crossing between the two countries.

While I was walking I saw several fishing boats coming from the Brazil side from across the the river where the trees are.

This is a look at the city of Fos de Iguacu,Brasil

The area next to the hotel.

Garden in the back of the Hotel grounds.

Our visit to the 2nd largest Dam in the World!

Before entering the visitors center we saw some ant hills on display.

We saw these all along the drive down in the fields and by the road.   I Didn't realize how big they were.                                            I didn't see any ANTS.

Papa got a great view of the Dam

See the Giant Spill ways and part of the the Dam in the background.

These are the only two things we saw inside. The big circles is over the place where the huge turbines are.
Below is just a little history in pictures of the building of the Dam.

The Bird Park in Brazil

Check out those backward bent legs!

This is like the bird Papa brought home form his mission!

This is the tough bird that grabbed Sis. Crowthers pants... here he is in a close up below.

Look how close I got --- I should have brought him Home--- Hey?

Oops a couple of monkeys were in with those birds!

Look at the fancy hair do!

I wish the color was a  looked as bright as in real life--- this bird was so bright!!!! This was just a sample of the birds.  It was so fun to see so many birds found in South America.
