Beautiful Trees

Oh this tree is just starting to bloom out... The pictures just don't show you what I see.
My yellow trees.... here and there... They are so cheery! I need a big panaroma shot as I can see so many across the city. It is really striking.

This is the tree that blooms first and the city is full of them.  It is a beautiful sight-- especially from our balcony. These trees are at the golf course... Warren took this picture about a month ago in early August.

Unusual flowers

This is from a tree.. the flower comes out at the bottom of the branches and then more leaves grow out.  I don't know what kind of a tree it is but it is bright and pretty.  Look closer and you can see little seeds on each tip.

These two very delicate flowers were found on bushes by side of road and by a gate.

I enjoyed my first bouquet here. It is in a jelly jar. so it is quite small. the flower below was also found by side walk where two trees were growing with this bush in a small area.
The top and bottom are the same flowers. I took the close up so you can see the tiny little flowers that are found on this long grassy trailing plant... it is all over a fence in front of a home.
This was really wild to see red, pink and white flowers all on the same stem.
My neighbor, Diane, probably recognizes these.....  I just take pictures of those I like.
I think these are found at home, I don't know the names of them.  But here they are in huge clumps.

What we see as we walk

Look how modern this is.  A Pet mobile you can have all the services done,Hair cut, nails clipped and a shampoo for your pet right at home. Pets get the best of care here I guess just like at home.
We pass this tiny dog who lives just a block from the church. We see him most Sunday mornings if it is nice weather. There has not been a sound from him until Warren got the camera out.  Then he barked and barked.

This is the Church Building where we attend the Moroni Ward.  It is right next to the temple.
Here is a better view of the tire shop.  It is advertized by the tires out front.  I have only seen once that someone  was looking for a tire.  It really is quite sad.  I don't know how he survives.  I'm sure he lives in that tiny white building I guess the orange brick building holds the tires and tools. He sits out front looking quite grumpy--- just watching the people go by.

What we see on our walk to the Temple

Here is a view of a nice apartment building up top and then a little tiny tire store and two big nice houses. I guess the little guy wouldn't sell out.  I better take a close up of the tire place for you-- it is funny or maybe sad.
Mickey mouse is down here.  This is an example of a little shop we walk by, there are many little shops in between  the homes..
This is the garden center with the plants lined up on the sidewalk and more are found inside.

This is a shot of our apartment building there are two houses connected(sharing walls) on this side and three on the other. Who is holding who up???
We see lots of walls.  I wonder what is inside.. what the house looks like etc.  We walk past this wall daily and one day the gate was open.  What disappointment it was a parking lot.

Go to the next  posting for more!

This soccer girl mural makes me smile as I pass it.  This is a lot better than graffiti.  I really like soccer.   I say go Vivi, Kenzly, Claire and all other soccer girls. I haven't seen one for the boys, sorry guys.

Isn't this fish a bit weird.  I saw him on the side of a little restaurant.  It says they specialize in Fish!  We haven't tried the food there it didn't look so good. The locals said they used to have really good but small shrimp in the river.  But they aren't found anymore.
Look at this Lucy.... I keep watching to see familiar names and this is the only one I have seen on a sign .  With such a big family you would think I would see more but this is it so far.

We walk by this large rambler sthyle home and I marvel at how big it is.  It takes up at least a fourth of a block.
This was taken before the grounds have turned green. The house wouldn't fit in one picture.....
So here is the second half of the house.  It goes back quite far on the lot also. It is big! So there are lots of nice homes in this area.  It was one of the nicer areas probably 20 years ago or so.  The rich have moved out to newer areas I am sure. There are  lots of small older homes mixed in.

I took this picture because this is quite unusual as this nice home stands alone.  They are usually built right onto the wall of the structure next to them.
